Position Summary: The Life Skill Counselor will be responsible for helping to develop and facilitate our programming for participants aged 14+.

Qualifications:

  • Child and Youth Care Diploma, Bachelor of Education, Behavioral Science/Behavioral Psychology Diploma, Social Service Worker Diploma/ or equivalent
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate (Standard First Aid/CPR Level C)
  • Current Record of Immunizations (Including TDP/10-year booster)
  • Up to Date CPIC/Police Check with vulnerable sector check (within last 6 months)
  • CPI training or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a camp counsellor, or related experience working with youth
  • Born after May 1, 1991

 

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as set and meet deadlines
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide clear expectations
  • Manage challenging behavior using non-punitive strategies

  • Ability to actively engage and lead activities for a group (15 youth and young adults)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise participants at social and life skills programming
  • Actively lead and participate in all aspects of social and life skills programming
  • The Life Skill Counselor tasks and responsibilities are focused on participants that they are working with at camp; this includes facilitating activities, skill development, offsite events, and activities
  • The Life Skill Counselor supervise participants in all aspects of the skill development programs
  • The Life Skill Counselor may be expected to work with larger or smaller groups of participants; they may also work one-on-one with a participant as needed

 

Hours: Must be available between 8:00am -3:30pm

Position Summary: The Office Manager will be responsible for providing administrative support to The Quintilian Way.

Qualifications:

  • OSSD, working towards or completed Business Administration Diploma, or BA in business, administration, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
  • QuickBooks, Adobe Suite, WordPress
  • Social Media literacy
  • Up to Date CPIC/Police Check with vulnerable sector check (within last 6 months)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in administration.
  • Born after May 1, 1991

Responsibilities:

  • The Office Manager will engage in office administration procedures to support the operations of The Quintilian Way
  • The Office Manager will work with Supervisory Staff to establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives
  • The Office Manager will respond to inquiries from service recipients, families, and the community via phone, email, and social media
  • The Office manager will assist with financial operations, including bookkeeping tasks, payroll, and bill payments
  • The Office Manager will facilitate, track, and update status of the registration process and payment for all summer and fall programs
  • The Office Manager will oversee two virtual fundraising events according to an established protocol

Compensation: $20/hour      35 hours per week

Position Summary: The Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the management of all other summer staff and beginning the development to the Project Management Plan for The Quintilian Way. The Programs Coordinator is directly responsible to the Board.

Qualifications:

  • OSSD, working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management, human services, or social science
  • Project management experience
  • Not-for-Profit experience
  • Social Media literacy
  • Up to Date CPIC/Police Check with vulnerable sector check (within last 6 months)
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity
  • Born after May 1, 1991

  • Experience managing a staff of more than ten people.

Responsibilities:

  • The Programs Coordinator will oversee the planning of, organization for, and day-to-day operations of The Quintilian Way
  • The Programs Coordinator will begin the development of a long-term project management plan for The Quintilian Way under the supervision of the Board and Project Management Staff
  • The Programs Coordinator will formulate project plans and policies which establish the direction to be taken by the Quintilian Way in conjunction with the Board of Directors
  • The Programs Coordinator will ensure accurate records of all employees and participants for each week of programming
  • The Programs Coordinator will ensure accurate timesheets are submitted to the Treasurer bi-weekly
  • The Programs Coordinator will undertake weekly formal mentoring of the Camp Co-Ordinator and Youth Development Co-Ordinator
  • The Programs Coordinator will undertake monthly reporting to the Board of Directors on the status of all programs and staff
  • The Programs Coordinator will ensure the accuracy of program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance
  • The Program Coordinator will incorporate any lesson learned into existing policies for approval by the Board; and then ensure that these updated procedures are followed by all staff
  • The Programs Coordinator will ensure all emergency procedures associated with the camp program have been correctly implemented and will enforce safety guidelines

 

Hours: Must be available between 7:30am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday and one weekend half day per week. There are two shifts that will be filled.

Position Summary: The Programs Coordinator will be responsible for cleaning. Due to covid, there is a need for implementing enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards an OSSD
  • Up to Date CPIC/Police Check with vulnerable sector check (within last 6 months)
  • A minimum of 1 year work experience
  • Born after May 1, 1991

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to complete physical tasks over a seven-hour shift

 Responsibilities:

  • The Cleaner will clean lobbies, hallways, offices, and rooms of The Quintilian Way premises
  • The Cleaner will sanitize all surfaces and high touch areas in lobbies, hallways, offices, and rooms of The Quintilian Way premises
  • The Cleaner task list will include, but is not limited to disinfecting desks, tables, chairs, and other surfaces; sweeping and mopping floors; picking up debris and emptying trash cans; and cleaning and stocking bathrooms
  • The Cleaner will document the areas cleaned during their shift
  • The cleaner will perform other cleaning and support tasks as directed by the other camp staff
